Here's a chance to let your young band play this famous selection. It is a full-length version of the famous "Trumpet Voluntary" long attributed to Purcell. The rhythms are easy with only a few sixteenths in the first trumpet and snare drum parts. All the clarinets play below the break. The flutes play up to a C while the brass have a one octave Bb to Bb range except the first trumpet which goes up to concert C.

    Although Duncombe is not a well-known composer, this is an exciting number for the young band. It is slightly harder than The Prince of Denmark's March, but only the snare drum has some sixteenth notes. The clarinets go up to an A but the alto and bass Clarinets stay below the break. Brasses range from concert B-C and the flutes range up to Eb.

    Your band will have a lot of fun with this dance from Grieg. It's also a great piece for working on dynmic changes and syncopation. Flutes go to D with optional F's. Clarinets go up to G while the alto and bass clarinet stay below the break. Trumpets range from B-C and the trombones and baritones from Bb-D.
